Begun in October 2002, the hosted OnDemand effort involved the development and design of sales, service, and marketing applications based on a wealth of usability knowledge collected over a few years. By outlining the general goals of the application – easy to use, even easier to setup and quick to market – the design was developed to fit these needs for simplicity.

The OnDemand design was an iterative process that spanned eight months and followed a user centered design process – gathering requirements, creating an application model, and developing prototypes.

Although the product was built using an existing database structure and its built-in rich functionality, the application's architectural model – screen flows and interactive task flows – was more simplistic and straight forward.

After creating the initial page flows, designs, and CSS for Sales, Service and Administration, I directed a team of product managers on how to create pages for their particular products and oversaw the interaction design.
