Process Control is an ambitious project that strives to combine two complex and complimentary SAP solutions into one simplified holistic offering.
SOLUTION
Design was a strategic component of the GRC Process Control’s migration to SAP standard technology and was a central driver to the project’s planning.
ROLE
Principal Designer
SAP Governance, Risk, and Compliance's (GRC) Process Control application answers needs created by global regulatory compliance mandates and governance. It allows a company to model its organization, identify risk, and provides tools to put measures in place to mitigate these risks.
The main redesign effort was three short months in 2007. From the architecture to final user interaction designs, the Ux Team designed, guided and assisted in the application’s creation. With the additional challenge of working within the Agile development process, the Ux Team accomplished the following:
- Improved the information architecture by grouping functionality into logical work centers.
- Improved the usability by simplifying several interactions, e.g. assignments.
- Enhanced visibility of heterogeneous content and reduced development time by the introduction of the property sheet.
- Integrated the user experience and functionality of SAP Services (formally known as MIC) and Virsa's Process Control.
